You might know me as one of the owners of Sussex lighting – although maybe the hat has fooled you? After a successful career in IT management and having acquired extensive knowledge of fixing all things technical a new challenge was needed. My wife, Suzannah, and I established Sussex Lighting in 2008. Our retail business has gone from strength to strength and has offered us further opportunity to expand.
The repair, renovation and chandelier cleaning aspect of our business has always been of great interest to me and I have now acquired nearly 30 years of knowledge and experience to help me tackle even the most complicated of faults. Although I am very happy with a quick table lamp fix or even a fuse change!
With a constant demand for repairs it made sense to expand this aspect of the business and run it from my new workshop in our barn in the Sussex Countryside. Currently it is still a little untidy as it is filled with lights, vinyl, a couple of motorbikes and lots of lighting spares and repairs – but it is a large space so I’m sure I can accommodate all.
In my spare time I like to travel, enjoy my new-found passion for motorbikes, play guitar and maybe even attempt a bit of singing. We have more animals than I thought were possible - dogs, alpacas, sheep, goats, pigs, ponies and even a Dexter cow called Missy Moo.
